Bill has proudly called Coronado home for over 50 years beginning his photography career on the yearbook staff at Coronado High School where he graduated in 1982 moving on to UCLA where he completed his BA in Political Science in 1986.  Upon returning to Coronado Bill purchased Wilcox photo in 1989, re-christening it Crown City Photography. He quickly added portrait services as well as One Hour Photo developing.  In 1999 Bill was named Resident Photographer at the Hotel del Coronado. 
Beyond his award winning photography Bill has been active in the Coronado Community serving on the Mainstreet, Chamber, Visitors Bureau and Rotary Boards.  Bill was the on-air host for the July 4th Parade for over 25 years and was the founding host of the Coronado Schools Foundation Telethon helming that event for its first 20 installments.  Appointed to the Planning Commission in 2013, Bill followed that by being elected to the City Council in 2014 and re-elected in 2018. Additionally, he represents Coronado on several regional bodies. 
Simply put, Bill truly believes in Connections And Community. His demonstrated long-term creativity and imaging craft as well as his decades of civic involvement paint a clear picture of his enduring commitment to his customers and Coronado.
